Foxconn 鴻海 (2317), ODM for Apple’s popular iPod has been tapped to produce the iPhone for Apple computer. In addition to playing music, the first iPhones will have a two mega pixel camera camera built in.

The iPhone will be on the market around the beginning of the second quarter, with the first shipments around February at best. The reported monthly shipments of phones will be between 500,000 and 600,000 a month.

Although Foxconn does have the ability to manufacture the necessary components, Apple decided to use original manufacturers for the components of the iPhone.

Due to the smaller volumes of a single model phone, analysts estimate revenue is only expected to grow by 3% to 4% for Largan Precision (3008), Catcher Technology (2474) , Entery Industrial (1333) , Innovace (2387) and Primax ( 2336 ) .
